My Lancôme Rewards Terms & Conditions
Introduction
- The My Lancôme Rewards program is offered by L’Oréal Australia Pty Ltd (L’Oréal, we or us).
- These terms and conditions apply to the My Lancôme Rewards program and any promotional activity and member transactions relating to the My Lancôme Rewards program. By registering for and participating in the My Lancôme Rewards, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Your participation and membership
- You can sign up to My Lancôme Rewards online at https://www.lancome.com.au/on/demandware.store/Sites-lancome-au-ng-Site/en_AU/Loyalty-Overview, in-store at a Lancôme counter, or via other methods which may be specified by L’Oréal from time to time.
- To become a member of My Lancôme Rewards, you will need to provide your full name and email address. In order to be eligible for a My Lancôme Rewards Birthday Reward, you must also provide your date and month of birth.
- You must notify us if your email address changes. L’Oréal is not responsible for any loss of My Lancôme Rewards benefits arising from you not notifying us of any change in your email address.
- You must only have one My Lancôme Rewards account at any time.
- L’Oréal staff are not eligible to join My Lancôme Rewards.
- My Lancôme Rewards tier spend, points balance, and rewards are not transferrable and cannot be shared with anyone else.
- If you are under the age of 18, you need the consent of your parent or guardian to join.
Member communications and personal data
- When you join My Lancôme Rewards, you agree to receive email communications from L’Oréal for the purposes of:
- providing you with marketing, product and special offer information; and
- notifying you of matters relevant to your My Lancôme Rewards membership, including points and rewards expiry.
You can opt out of receiving these emails by clicking the ‘unsubscribe’ button at the bottom of any Lancôme email and updating your preferences.
- By joining My Lancôme Rewards you agree to let us collect, use and disclose your data (including personal information) in accordance with our Privacy Policy and these terms and conditions.
Earning My Lancôme Rewards points
- You can earn My Lancôme Rewards points by making a purchase:
- online at lancome.com.au while logged in to your My Lancôme Rewards account;
- at a Lancôme pop-up in Australia and identifying yourself as a My Lancôme Rewards member; or
- at a Lancôme counter in participating department stores in Australia and identifying yourself as a My Lancôme Rewards member to a dedicated Lancôme Customer Service Representative. You will not be eligible to earn points or tier spend if you make a purchase at a participating department store with a standard department store representative (i.e. a staff member who is not a dedicated Lancôme Customer Service Representative) or on the department store’s website.
- If you make a purchase in accordance with clause 12 above, for each dollar you spend (excluding shipping costs) you’ll earn one My Lancôme Rewards point (rounded down to the nearest dollar). This is calculated on your actual spend after any discounts, gift vouchers or My Lancôme Rewards vouchers. For example:
- If you purchase a product which is $100 and receive a 15% discount on the purchase (total spend $85), you will receive 85 My Lancôme Rewards points.
- If you purchase a product which is $150 and use a $50 gift voucher on the purchase (total spend $100), you will receive 100 My Lancôme Rewards points.
- If you purchase a product which is $100 and use a $20 My Lancôme Rewards voucher on the purchase (total spend $80), you will receive 80 My Lancôme Rewards points.
- For online purchases, points will be credited to your My Lancôme Rewards account once your order ships. For in-store purchases, points may take up to 24 hours to be credited to your My Lancôme Rewards account.
- We may deduct from your My Lancôme Rewards account any My Lancôme Rewards points:
- credited to your account as a result of an error;
- relating to a transaction that has been cancelled, reversed or refunded;
- relating to any suspected fraudulent activity; or
- relating to an order that L’Oréal reasonably believes was for a commercial purpose or commercial in quantity.
- At its sole discretion, L’Oréal may update a member account with additional My Lancôme Rewards points as a result of a purchasing behavior, incentive, and/or promotional activities (including but not limited to the above bonus points offer).
- Your My Lancôme Rewards point balance and any vouchers or items you redeem through My Lancôme Rewards are not transferable to anyone else or redeemable for cash.
Using My Lancôme Rewards points
- Points can be redeemed for a My Lancôme Rewards voucher redeemable online at lancome.com.au, as set out in the table below. Only one My Lancôme Rewards voucher can be used per transaction.

- When you convert your My Lancôme Rewards points into a My Lancôme Rewards voucher, you will have 30 days from the date of conversion to use your My Lancôme Rewards voucher. We will notify you using the email address linked to your My Lancôme Rewards account approximately 7 days before any of your active voucher(s) are due to expire if you have not opted out of receiving loyalty communications. If you return or cancel an order in which you redeemed a My Lancôme Rewards voucher, the voucher will be reissued to your account with its original expiry date.
- Each My Lancôme Rewards voucher can only be used once and L’Oréal will not be held liable if a My Lancôme Rewards voucher is not able to be redeemed for any reason. When using a My Lancôme Rewards voucher, you must spend at least $1. My Lancôme Rewards vouchers are not valid for use towards the purchase of gift cards. L’Oréal reserves the right to exclude certain items and promotions from being redeemed by using My Lancôme Rewards vouchers.
- Points can also be redeemed for items in the Lancôme Rewards Catalogue (which contains exclusive merchandise, products and gifts). Items contained in the Lancôme Rewards Catalogue are subject to availability and may be changed from time to time (at the absolute discretion of L'Oréal). When redeeming items from the Lancôme Rewards Catalogue you must spend at least $1.
- Points will expire 12 months after they are earned. This means that if you make multiple purchases in one year, you will have points expiring on multiple dates the following year. For example:
- If you spend $50 on 1 February of the first year, you will earn 50 points. These points will expire at the end of 31 January of the second year.
- If you spend $100 on 1 June of the first year, you will earn 100 points. These points will expire at the end of 31 May of the second year.
- We will notify you using the email address linked to your My Lancôme Rewards account approximately one month before any of your points are due to expire if you have not opted out of receiving loyalty communications.
My Lancôme Rewards membership tiers
- You can accumulate My Lancôme Rewards tier spend by making a purchase:
- online at lancome.com.au while logged in to your My Lancôme Rewards account (excluding shipping costs);
- For online purchases, tier spend will be credited to your My Lancôme Rewards account once your order ships. For in-store purchases, tier spend may take up to 24 hours to be credited to your My Lancôme Rewards account.
- As a My Lancôme Rewards member, you will be allocated to a membership tier on the basis of your spend with Lancôme in a membership year.
- The current spending thresholds for each membership tier are:
- For Rose membership: spend $0-$399 per membership year.
- For Gold membership: spend $400-$899 per membership year.
- For Platinum membership: spend $900+ per membership year.
- Your My Lancôme Rewards membership year starts from (i) the date you joined My Lancôme Rewards or (ii) the date you last changed or maintained tiers (whichever date is later) and runs for 12 months.
- At the end of each membership year, your membership tier will be determined by your spend with Lancôme in that membership year and your spend balance will be reset to $0. You will then remain in that membership tier until the end of your next membership year unless your rolling 12-month spend qualifies you to move to a higher tier.
- At its sole discretion, L’Oréal may upgrade a member’s membership tier as a result of purchasing behavior, incentive and/or promotional activities.
- We may deduct from your My Lancôme Rewards spend balance any amounts:
- credited to your account as a result of an error;
- relating to a transaction that has been cancelled, reversed or refunded;
- relating to any suspected fraudulent activity; or
- relating to an order that L’Oréal reasonably believes was for a commercial purpose or commercial in quantity.
- The benefits that members of each tier are eligible to receive are set out in the table below. Any capitalised terms used in these Conditions of Entry have the meaning given in the Schedule, unless stated otherwise.
2. The Promotion commences on the Start Date and ends on the End Date ("Promotional Period"). Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by the Promoter and not at the time of transmission or deposit by the entrant. Records of the Promoter and its agencies are final and conclusive as to the time of receipt.
3. Valid and eligible entries will be accepted during the Promotional Period.
4. Employees (and their immediate family members) of agencies/companies directly associated with the conduct of this Promotion, the Promoter, businesses involved in determination of winner/s for the Promotion, businesses involved in the management of the Promotion, any organisation benefiting from the Promotion, the Promoter’s distributors, suppliers, subsidiary companies/businesses and associated companies and agencies are not eligible to enter. "Immediate family member" means any of the following: spouse, ex-spouse, de-facto spouse, child or step-child (whether natural or by adoption), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, brother, sister, step-brother, step-sister or 1st cousin.
5. If a prize is won by a person under the age of 18, the prize may be awarded to the winner's parent or guardian and where applicable to the prize a nominated parent/guardian must accompany any person under 18 years of age.
6. If any winner chooses not to take their prize (or is unable to), or does not take or claim a prize by the time specified by the Promoter, or is unavailable, they forfeit the prize and the Promoter is not obliged to substitute the prize.
7. The value of the prizes is accurate and based upon the recommended retail value of the prizes (inclusive of GST) at the date of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in the value of the prizes after that date.
8. No part of a prize is exchangeable, redeemable for cash or any other prize or transferable, unless otherwise specified in writing by the Promoter.
9. If a prize (or portion of a prize) is unavailable the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize (or that portion of the prize) to a prize of equal or greater value and specification.
10. No entry fee is charged by the Promoter to enter the Promotion.
11. Each prize will be awarded to the person named in the entry and any entry that is made on behalf of an entrant or by a third party will be invalid. If there is a dispute as to the identity of an entrant or winner, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the entrant or winner.
12. All entries will be the property of the Promoter. The information entrants provide will be used by the Promoter for the purpose of conducting this competition. The Promoter may collect entrants' personal information (including through its contractors or agents) or disclose entrants' personal information to its contractors and agents to assist in conducting this competition or communicating with, or developing its relationship with, entrants including to overseas locations such as New Zealand, the USA, Canada, Singapore and other countries in Asia and the EU. By entering this promotion, entrants consent to the storage of their personal information on the Promoter's database and the Promoter may use this information for future competition and marketing purposes regarding its products, including contacting the entrant via electronic messaging. By entering this promotion, entrants consent to receiving SMS or email messages from the Promoter. The Promoter is bound by the Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988. Entrants can request access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them by contacting the Promoter at the address stated in the Promoter section of these conditions. The Promoter's Privacy Policy, located at https://www.loreal.com/en/australia/pages/group/privacy-policy-australia/ (for Australia) and https://www.loreal.com/en/new-zealand/pages/group/privacy-policy-new-zealand/ (for New Zealand), contains information about: (a) how entrants can seek access to the personal information the Promoter holds about them and seek the correction of such information; and (b) how entrants can complain about a privacy breach and how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint.
13. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse to allow a winner to take part in any or all aspects of a prize, if the Promoter determines in their absolute discretion, that a winner is not in the physical or mental condition necessary to be able to safely participate in or accept the prize. It is a condition of accepting the prize that a winner (or their parent or legal guardian if under the age of 18) may be required to sign a legal release as determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion, prior to receiving a prize. If a winner is under the age of 18, a nominated parent or legal guardian of the winner will be required to sign the legal release on the winner's behalf.
14. If a prize is provided to the Promoter by a third party, the prize is subject to the terms and conditions of the third party prize supplier and the provision of the prize is the sole responsibility of the third party and not the Promoter. The terms and conditions which apply to the prize at the time it is issued to the winner will prevail over these Conditions of Entry, to the extent of any inconsistency. The Promoter accepts no responsibility or liability for any delay or failure by the third party to deliver the prize, any delay or failure relating to the prize itself or failure by the third party to meet any of its obligations in these Conditions of Entry or otherwise.
15. Any guarantee or warranty given is in addition to any relevant statutory guarantees and warranties and nothing in these Conditions of Entry restricts, excludes or modifies or purports to restrict, exclude or modify any statutory consumer rights under any applicable law including the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
16. If for any reason any aspect of this Promotion is not capable of running as planned, including by reason of computer virus, communications network failure, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failure or any cause beyond the control of the Promoter, the Promoter may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion and invalidate any affected entries, or suspend or modify a prize.
17. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to validate and check the authenticity of entries and entrant's details (including an entrant's identity, age and place of residence). In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof as required by the Promoter to validate their entry, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered. Incomplete, indecipherable, inaudible, incorrect and illegible entries, as applicable, will at the Promoter's discretion be deemed invalid and not eligible to win. Entries containing offensive or defamatory comments, or which breach any law or infringe any third party rights, including intellectual property rights, are not eligible to win. The use of any automated entry software or any other mechanical or electronic means that allows an individual to automatically enter repeatedly is prohibited and may render all entries submitted by that individual invalid.
18. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify entries in the event of non-compliance with these Conditions of Entry. In the event that there is a dispute concerning the conduct of the Promotion or claiming a prize, the Promoter will resolve the dispute in direct consultation with the entrant. If the dispute cannot be resolved the Promoter’s decision will be final.
19. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense, damage, personal injury or death which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person's negligence or wilful misconduct) in connection with this Promotion or accepting or using any prize (or recommendation), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law (in which case that liability is limited to the minimum allowable by law).
20. The entrant will participate in and co-operate as required with all reasonable marketing and editorial activities relating to the Promotion, including (but not limited to) being recorded, photographed, filmed or interviewed and acknowledges that the Promoter may use any such marketing and editorial material without further reference or compensation to them.
21. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications and the entrant must seek their own independent financial advice in regards to the tax implications relating to the prize or acceptance of the prize.
22. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of these rights.
